The New Orleans Saints once again sold out all of their home games in 2007, a tribute to their loyal and devoted fan base. The passion and intensity for Saints football, however, extended beyond Sundays in the Superdome, as the Saints clearly dominated the local television ratings.

Saints games averaged a 39.6 rating (percent of homes with TV tuning in) in New Orleans in 2007, ranking third among all NFL teams in local market ratings. Following is the top 10:

    2007 -- TOP 10 LOCAL MARKET RATINGS

    Pittsburgh Steelers
    Green Bay Packers
    New Orleans Saints
    Indianapolis Colts
    New England Patriots
    Buffalo Bills
    Dallas Cowboys
    Minnesota Vikings
    Cincinnati Bengals
    Kansas City Chiefs

The Saints 39.6 rating average represented a 25 percent increase over 2004 (31.7 avg. rating), which is the last season ratings were available in New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina.

Bet we were in the bottom 5. Our fans in St. Louis have been crap in terms of attending the games in the last two seasons.

Where did you find that? I'm curious as to the draw the 49ers and Raiders got in their markets. I know one 49er game was like a 10 when a Pats game scored like 39.
