Saints running back Chris Ivory is facing a legal battle and court appearance in the state of Washington. The class-B felony charge arises from a July 2009 incident in which Ivory allegedly assaulted another college student by striking him in the head with a bottle. Ivory's attorney said the alleged incident took place at a residential party at Washington State. Coach Sean Payton addressed Ivory's legal issues at today's press conference. “It's something way back in draft we were aware of. It’s something we’re completely on top of. It’s an incident that goes back to Washington State, if I’m not mistaken. He’s handling it with his attorneys and we’re doing (what we can to help out)," said Payton. The Washington State football team kicked Ivory off the squad in August 2009.
