The Saints announced Friday afternoon that they had re-signed McAllister, the franchise's record-holder for all things rushing. Sources close to McAllister said he will be inactive for the game and will serve as an honorary captain for Saturday's 3:30 p.m. NFC Divisional round playoff game against Arizona.

very well could be, or a last second motivational thing

"Deuce is a huge part of the history of our club and of what has gotten this team to where we are today and we absolutely wanted him with us as we head into the playoffs," Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis said.

  4. After three straight losses headed into the playoffs, the Saints need all the inspiration they can get.

I'll be pulling for them tomorrow. Too talented of a club to get knocked out in their first playoff game.
