Saints RB Reggie Bush Says "Anything Is Possible" About Contract

Discussion in 'New Orleans Saints' started by BigBlueBruiser, Feb 8, 2010.

  1. Saints running back Reggie Bush hasn't lived up to the high bar that was set when New Orleans selected him with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2006 draft, and he admitted during in the days preceding the Super Bowl that he hasn't lived up to his own expectations. There were rumblings throughout the season that he will be asked to take a pay cut or face being released in the offseason, as his base salary is $8 million in 2010. Bush was asked about his contract situation on Feb. 3. "Anything is possible," he said. "That's kind of the mindset you have in this league. As for me, I would love nothing more than to be in New Orleans for the rest of my career."

Good that he is keeping his mind open to the possibilities.

I say he finds a way to stay in New Orleans, even if it does mean taking a pay cut.

Possibly the most over-rated player in the league. I laughed at the commentators commenting about their surprise in Thomas beating him for touches. It's because he is the better back.

hopefully he takes a paycut because i dont think anyone else in the NFL knows how to use him like Sean Payton

Eight Million??? I'd like for the Saints to keep Bush, but he isn't worth $8M.
