The New Orleans Saints have re-signed cornerback Leigh Torrence. Torrence takes the roster spot of safety Chris Reis, who has been placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. The Saints released Torrence over the weekend to make room for running back DeShawn Wynn, who was signed on Saturday. The 5-11, 179-pound Torrence has three tackles in two games for the Saints this season. A former undrafted free agent from Stanford, Torrence (5-11, 179) has totaled 86 tackles, 1.5 quarterback sacks, and 4 passes defensed in a 49-game career with the Saints, Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Falcons, and Washington Redskins.
