Jeff Duncan reports via Twitter that a source tells him the New Orleans Saints have agreed on a deal that would send offensive tackle Jammal Brown to the Washington Redskins. Brown, a two-time Pro Bowler, has skipped voluntary offseason workouts with the Saints and he missed all of last season with a hip injury. If Brown was dealt Jermon Bushrod and Zach Strief would compete for starting left tackle.

yeah, i just saw that too.

maybe a 3-way deal....Seahawks get Haynesworth for picks, then the Skins send us those picks for Brown

anything less than a 2nd, it is FAIL

  8. is it just me or are 3 way trades becoming more and more popular in the NFL?

It will be intersting to see what they got. The Ravens couldnt deal Gaither for a 2nd.

Interesting question would be "Who is the better 'get'?

Gaither, the younger player will immense upside. Or Brown the older player, who has played at an All Pro level, but has some injury questions

  10. I'll go with Gaither. He is the better run blocker.

To me, I think it depends on what team you have.

As a Cowboy fan, I would have preferred Brown, the more experienced player. If your hoping to make a title run right now, you would want Brown

For a young rebuilding team (lets jut say the Chiefs) IMO, you would want Gaither. The younger guy with more upside

Bushrod kept Freeney in check in the Super Bowl, good to see that Saints are showing him the respect he earned by giving him a legitimate shot at the starting job. Now he has to step up full-time. I am a believer in Bushrod.

I don't know if Brown can even stay healthy, but it was a good deal for the skins, I did read that they plan on putting Brown at RT and playing a RT (Williams) at LT, but if Brown stays healthy???? then I think that will change.
