With Tropical Storm Isaac bearing down on the Gulf Coast of the U.S., the Saints will travel from New Orleans to Cincinnati on Monday afternoon, practice at Paul Brown Stadium on Tuesday and Wednesday, and head to Nashville to face the Titans in their final preseason game Thursday. According to the New Orleans Times Picayune, the team was scheduled to leave for Tennessee on Tuesday evening, but with the storm predicted to make landfall before then, the Saints decided it was best to get out of town immediately. Interim coach Joe Vitt already had given players off Monday in order to evacuate their families from the New Orleans area. The team is expected to practice in Cincinnati on Tuesday and connect meetings on-side. The Saints will have a walk-through Wednesday morning before heading to Nashville. Immediately after Thursday night's game, the Saints are expected to return back to New Orleans. Source: CBSSports
And they're not opening the Superdome for a shelter. Smart move. Hopefully the storm doesn't create a huge fiasco like Katrina.
