According to Adam Schefter, Seahawks DE Bruce Irvin has been suspended, without pay, for four games due to use of PEDs (Performance Enhancing Drugs). He joins the PED-using club in Seattle along with Brandon Browner, Richard Sherman,Winston Guy, and John Moffitt. Bruce Irvin was primed to succeed next year with the Seahawks. His speedy pass rush ability was a nightmare for all opposing QBs and he only could have gotten better. Last season, Irvin totaled 8 sacks, which is quite solid for a rookie. While the Seahawks may have signed Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett, Irvin would have completed a nasty trio of pass rushers. Having a rotation of 3 very capable pass rushers would both give ever-changing match ups and keep them fresher than the opposing OL. Now, he will only be gone for four games, but his presence will certainly be missed, especially considering they play the 49ers and Texans within the first four weeks.
