Seahawks assistant head coach and offensive line coach Tom Cable showed his toughness the past couple of weeks, as he recovers from extensive back surgery that he underwent on Sept. 26. Cable is back on his feet and moving around during practice after watching from a cart last week. "It was just an old injury that all of the sudden just got really bad," Cable said about the injury. "So your choice is either you lose your left leg, or you go get this done. Now you can move forward and I feel great. It obviously worked. The incision is a big one, so that's really the only negative left is kind of letting that heal up." One thing that Cable has been pleased about is the improved play of his young offensive line, with first-round pick, right tackle James Carpenter and rookie right guard John Moffitt looking more confident and comfortable on the field.
