Seattle likes its emerging wide receivers and has made it know that wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh, a top free agent signing by its prior regime in 2009, is available. The market for him is very limited, according to league sources, for the same reason the Seahawks are looking to move him -- his salary. Houshmandzadeh is guaranteed to earn more than $7M this season, and is coming off an unproductive year. Execs with teams that are in the market for receivers say they have no interest in taking on this contract.

Let's do it, and trade in the division for Vincent Jackson!

  4. I think Seattle may be trying to clear cap space for Vincent Jackson. The 'Hawks are still the only team with permission to discuss a contract with him. Plus Housh is from the old regime and isn't a great vertical threat.

Raiders have vertical threats we need possession wr's

  6. I mentioned that because Housh isn't a good fit for Seattle's vertical passing game.

A fifth for the 33-year old receiver sounds pretty fair to me....

They won't get a damn thing for him. Not with that contract baggage.
