Seahawks Release TE John Owens And RB Xavier Omon

    Seattle announced that tight end John Owens and running back Xavier Omon have been released. Owens, who had his contract terminated, played one season with Seattle, appearing in all 16 games last season after he was signed to back-up John Carlson. Omon, who was waived, was signed to Seattle's practice squad in November last season.
