Free agent offensive guard Chester Pitts has been rehabilitating the knee after microfracture surgery for some seven months, hoping an NFL team will give him a chance. He is still not football ready, but he believes he will be once training camps open. “The knee is doing great,†Pitts says. “It’s structurally sound. Because I had to be off of it for nine weeks, it’s kind of a deep hole you climb in to. It takes time to get it back strong. But I’d say it’s about eighty five percent right now.†Prior to the draft, Pitts was told by teams to wait until after the draft. It’s after the draft and there’s still no contract offer from any team, although several have inquired. Pitts says his best chance may be with the Seahawks. “I’d say they’re the front runner for greatest need and best fit. I’ve talked with several teams. I actually had Minnesota call last week and want to know where I was (in the rehab process).â€

    Okung, Hamilton, Unger, Pitts, Locklear?

That's a decent stopgap line....but we need some YOUTH at the other positions.
