Seahawks To Bench WR Braylon Edwards For WR Golden Tate?

Braylon Edwards had a chance to win last week's Seattle Seahawks-Arizona Cardinals game, he let a potential game-winning pass go through his hands. He also might have lost his chance to remain a starter.

We watched the Game Rewind coaches film of the game and Edwards struggled to separate from Arizona's cornerbacks. Edwards led the team with five catches, but those only went for 43 yards. He was targeted nine times. Life doesn't get easier this week against Dallas Cowboys cornerbacks Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne.

The Tacoma News Tribune notes that Golden Tate took the first-team snaps at split end during the Seahawks' Wednesday practice, Tate reportedly "showed explosive burst and good hands" in the practice. Edwards backed him up.

Granted i only watched the hawks a few times last year because i didn't find them very interesting but in the games i watched Tate looked ok. Good separation good routes and decent hands. I don't think he's a #1 or anything but he's got to be better than Edwards is at this point

I've always loved Golden Tate...just me personally. I think he's going to be a good solid reciever.

Braylon Edwards shouldn't even be on that roster after that crap effort against the Cardinals. It was actually embarrassing. Tate >>>>>>> Edwards.

I don't understand why the Seahawks are so focused on benching Tate, the kid has talent why are they signing guys like Braylon Edwards? WTF has Braylon done recently?
