The Seattle Seahawks have placed quarterback Nate Davis on waivers, a league source confirmed. Howard Balzer of The SportsXChange was the first to report the transaction. A fifth-round pick out of Ball State by the San Francisco 49ers in 2009, Davis has yet to appear in a regular season NFL game and spent much of 2010 on the 49ers practice squad. Davis completed 52-of-93 pass attempts for 615 yards with 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions in six preseason games. With the collective bargaining agreement set to expire tonight, this move leaves Charlie Whitehurst as the only quarterback under contract on the Seahawks' roster. Source: macsfootballblog
