Why did Sean Payton request a clause in his Saints contract extension freeing him if general manager Mickey Loomis left the team? A league source told Pro Football Talk Payton wanted to protect his position with the Saints’ emerging power player: owner/executive Rita Benson LeBlanc. A league source tells PFT that Payton wanted to be sure that Loomis would be present to serve as a buffer between the coach and Rita Benson LeBlanc. LeBlanc is expected to have more, not less, power during the term of Payton’s next contract and Payton prefers not to have to deal with LeBlanc. If the league continues to reject language tying Payton’s extension with Loomis, the suspended coach’s future with LeBlanc could play a role in his final destination. Source: Sports Illustrated
Makes sense... "Unnamed sources cited LeBlanc’s “lack of focus and abrasive management style.” Apparently she has gone through 30 personal assistants just in the last six years, a stunning figure if accurate. While she was complimented for her talent and smarts, LeBlanc’s sense of entitlement was what irked her grandfather, according to the report." hahahahahaha....keep dreaming Failcon. of course I don't blame you for wanting Payton gone, the way he's owned your asses since we got him
Rita is a tramp snitch. She was the one pushing for the move to San Antonio. Tom is freaking up giving her that much power. She will run this team into the ground.
