The Chicago Park District is replacing the turf at the stadium in advance of the Bears’ season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The turf, which looked ideal for late November during the team’s final preseason game, was further damaged over the weekend by consecutive U2 concerts while the Bears were out of town in Green Bay. Soldier Field came under fire for its poor condition during the second half of last season, and Clark ripped the condition of it earlier this month in his personal blog. “What the hell is the park distict of Chi cgo (sic) doing when it comes to taking care of this field,’’ Clark wrote. “They have to resod the whole field before we play Pittsburgh, which will lead to loose turf. Basically, to some (sic) it up in a sentence, we have one of the worst fields in the NFL and there are no excuses why the Chicago Bears, of all teams, should have to play on such a bad surface.â€￾

    Par for the course...

This isn't just from the 2nd half of last season. This has been for years & years. Nothing's gonna come from all the whining.
