....why Marvin Lewis has not been fired yet, and why there hasn't even been any speculation in the media about him being canned in the near future????? The Bengals so far this season are 0-8, have had only one winning season since he took over the team in 2003, and, for a supposed defensive guru, has had defenses ranked 28th, 19th, 28th, 30th, and 27th in the league since he took over??? Don't even get me started on the abundance of off-field issues that has plagued the team in the last couple of years. I just don't understand why he gets a pass when other coaches have been fired with similar records but with less talented teams...
Relax. The ax has been raised, it just has not fallen yet. Should happen sometime in the next 2 weeks. Just my opinion but hey, what the hell do I know?
Bengals fans were calling for his head last year....kinda like Chiefs fans have been calling for the ax to fall on Herm and Carl....will be surprised if either one gets it though.
I obviously don't have a vested interest either way, since I'm not a Bengals fan, but it just amazes me how some coaches get a pass when they clearly don't deserve it, and Lewis is #1 on that list, I think.
I have been calling for Lewis's head since 06 oh and an 8-8 record has been a decent and good enough after all the crap we have been through in the late 90's but that's no longer happening in the age of lewis *bag*
guys come on....keep it about football. (this is what people say i'm talking like a mod but you don't have to be a mod to want people to stick to the topic at hand) Suedon, I totally agree with you on every single point you just made. He should have been fired a long time ago and with this 0-8 record, why wait another minute? Don't wait until after the season; that's just stupid. Marvin, you were good for us back in the day, but you are NOT a good head coach by any means. Mr. Brown you just have to accept that. Rep for that post Suedon.
