Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports the Vikings are indeed one of the teams interested in McNabb, according to two people with knowledge of the situation who spoke on condition of anonymity. But obviously, no deal could be made until there is a new collective bargaining agreement. One league source said none of the teams interested in McNabb is expected to want to offer much for the 34-year-old quarterback, not because they doubt his skills but because the Redskins already tipped their hand that McNabb doesn’t have a future in Washington. It’s believed that whenever the lockout ends, the Redskins will have to cooperate with the McNabb on a destination because it is expected that they will have to get him to rework the contract he signed last November. Wasn't that the plan when Brett Favre became a Viking? The Vikings should just stop signing these stopgaps.
Yeah except Favre started throwing the ball a lot and ignored his coach. Donovan McNabb might actually listen to his coach...
Except this time, the Vikings have a new QB (hopefully) in waiting. They've figured out T-Jack isn't the answer, and now they can let Webb learn a year behind someone before throwing him out there.
great running game and mcnabb is a downfiled passer with a mean playaction fake...he could be successful there for a year or 2
Another bad decision by the Vikings. Signing a qb who's at the end of their career. McNabb is done, finish he has no velocity on his throws anymore.
I can confirm that the Vikings are interested in ANY starting caliber quarterback. Go ahead and use me as a source, boys. No anonymity here.
I think we are going to pull away from it a little bit this season and run more of an Atlanta offense.
