Marcus Lattimore worked out for a crowd of NFL talent evaluators on Wednesday at South Carolina and the room broke into applause when he was done.

Robert Klemko of USA Today reports that the running back, who is working his way back from a gruesome knee injury suffered in late October, hopes to be ready to play in the NFL by midseason, if not sooner.

Lattimore suffered a torn ACL, lateral collateral and posterior cruciate ligaments in a game against Tennessee. He has been rehabilitating since under the care of Dr. James Andrews.

“It was crazy,â€￾ Lattimore told Klemko of the reaction. “I did not expect that at all. Pretty much every scout came up to me and said that was amazing and inspiring.â€￾

Lattimore performed agility drills and then caught passes for the crowd.

if this is any indication of the kids' drive, desire, motivation, and heart, then, yes, he may end up being a damn good player in the pros. those are qualities that are often hard to measure but can make all the difference.
