The New Orleans Saints have won one for a change. Louisiana State Police announced today that they have found no evidence Saints general manager Mickey Loomis had rigged his private booth in the Superdome to listen to visiting coaches’ audio. ESPN reported in April that there were allegations Loomis had rigged his box to overhear the visitors, a serious complaint of activities that allegedly happened last decade. “This has been an intensive investigation, and after numerous interviews we have determined that there is no evidence that state laws have been violated," State Police Col. Mike Edmonson said after meeting with Saints owner Tom Benson, according to the Associated Press. “This is based on what we know today. If any new allegations would come up we would certainly pursue that. This is not anything to do with the FBI or the U.S. Attorney's office. We find out whether or not there's any evidence to show criminal wrongdoing and base it on state law."

I love how ESPN crucified the Saints over the allegations of this, but now nothing is said....except for a little blurb on their blog. We really need a national, independent, non-biased source for NFL news

Just to be on the safe side, Roger Goodell fines the Saints $500,000 and suspends Mickey Loomis for 2 years.

The NFL should be punished if their accusations are found to be inaccurate.
