Cornerback Deshea Townsend has been getting some snaps at safety. But that doesn't make this mini camp any different than previous ones held under Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, who is a big proponent of "position flexibility" given the limitations of 53-man rosters in the NFL. "They always let me mess around at camp at safety because you never know when guys go down," Townsend said. "That's great because I don't have to run around as much as minicamp."
