According to Sports Illustrated's Peter King, Steelers DE Aaron Smith (triceps) will not play in Super Bowl XLV. After all the news stories and gamesmanship by the Steelers, neither Smith nor Maurkice Pouncey will be active on Sunday. Ziggy Hood will start in the biggest game of his life. It will be the 13th consecutive game Hood has started for Smith, a 12-year veteran who has not played or practiced since he tore the triceps tendon in his left arm in Week 6. Source: RotoTimes.com
Ziggy has been just fine the last few weeks, I've actually been wondering what we're going to do next season with Keisel, Smith, and Hood all on the team and healthy. Hood has shown he's ready to start for this team, him going back to the bench could be demoralizing.
Actually K has been supporting him as of late...not in love with him, but he has given him credit...some credit.
