The Pittsburgh Steelers announced their first round of roster cuts Sunday, according to the team's official website. Those released were: RB Baron Batch, LB Stevenson Sylvester, OT D'Anthony Batiste, OT Mike Farrell, WR David Gilreath, WR Tyler Shaw, WR J.D. Woods, CB Ryan Steed, OT Mike Farrell, RB Jeremy Wright, QB John Parker Wilson and TE Peter Tuitupou. The team also waived/injured guard Justin Cheadle and DeMarcus Van d**e who both suffered 'significant' hamstring injuries during training camp practices. Kind of surprised at the Stevnson Sylvester cut...but not really. Glad to see Batch on the list. Was afraid they may have kept him for special teams which would've been a waste.
