The biggest disappointment at Steelers training camp thus far has been the play of first round draft pick David DeCastro according to Jamison Hensley of espn.com. Considered the best guard prospect to come out of college in a decade, DeCastro has failed to beat out Ramon Foster, who went undrafted three years ago, for the starting right guard spot. Despite his struggles, DeCastro will start at right guard in the Steelers preseason opener on Thursday. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger asked DeCastro whether he was having more difficulty with the mental or physical part of the game. "He said, ‘The mental part I got. The physical is a lot tougher. He will get it going, at least he's got the mental part down. The physical part can be fixed.

heard he was stone walling people the other day after a shaky start in one on ones. Real time game action will do him wonders, he cant over power people with his arms anymore, a 6-5 guard needs to work on leveraging. this is a non issue, hes being eased into being a dominant player. cant wait to see him, adams and rainey. its a shame colon and heyward cant go this week
