The Steelers today placed long-snapper Greg Warren on injured reserved. Warren sustained a torn ACL in his left knee on the final play of Sunday's game against Green Bay at Heinz Field, after he snapped the ball for Jeff Reed's extra point that won the game, 37-36. The Steelers will add two players this week to fill out their 53-man roster. Long-snapper Jared Retkofsky, who replaced Warren for the second half of last season after another ACL injury, visited the team yesterday. Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Come on Greg, torn ACL after snapping the ball? it had to have happened before that. At least it happened at the end and not in the middle of the game. We don't want Harrison snapping the ball again without much practice.
