Running back Rashard Mendenhall, a former 1,000-yard back benched for the past two games, was suspended Tuesday by the Steelers for conduct detrimental to the team. The Steelers did not explain why they suspended Mendenhall. Earlier in the day, coach Mike Tomlin hinted strongly that Mendenhall would not play Sunday in Dallas, saying he intended to stay with Jonathan Dwyer and Isaac Redman as the top two backs. Mendenhall, his season already disrupted by knee and Achilles injuries, hasn‘t played since fumbling twice on four carries in Cleveland on Nov. 25. For the season, he has 113 yards on 34 carries, with 68 yards coming against the Eagles on Oct. 7. Source: Pittsburgh Tribune Review
Good. Reports are that after he was told he wouldn't dress for the Chargers game, he didn't show up to Heinz Field.

Redman is horrible. With any luck, he'll be gone next season... Wouldn't mind seeing them go after Ivory...
