Heath Miller led all NFL tight ends with eight receptions week one, and while appreciative of the opportunities in the passing game, Miller said he doesn't want them to come at the expense of the running game. "It's nice to be able to contribute, but at the same time, we know we're a better offense if some of those pass attempts are hand-offs to Willie (Parker) or Rashard (Mendenhall)," Miller said. "We've really to get on track this week." The eight catches Miller had in a 13-10 overtime win over Tennessee tied his career high in that category. The fifth-year veteran helped quarterback Ben Roethlisberger throw for 363 yards — the third-highest total in his career. "We're going to go with what's working, but we'd really like to get that running game going," Miller said. "You're not going to go through a year and win football games if you can't run the football."

    Crowned Doesn't give a shit.

Who doesn't? But when it's not working you are still going to run a few plays keep from being one dimensional but of course you are going to lean to more passing plays.

    Seriously.....

If you have no running game and become one dimensional, against the best teams you will lose because they will simply pound Ben into the ground (given your poor O-Line)...

it will get better, im not worried about it....and when we completely abandoned the run the oline showed they could pass block and ben showed he could pick apart a defense.

the run game will come within time, it CANT get any worse and im convinced of that

The run has to improve, however, people are going to have to face the fact that this team is more of a one back, one tight end personnel with Arians as the offensive coordinator. Which isn't a horrible thing...until they try to run...lol.

it shouldnt be bad against the bears without urlacher and pisa....maybe they will find a little success to build off of

yep, heath is just stating the obvious. i'm not sure why the steelers continue to struggle so badly in the run game but it didn't seem to matter during the playoffs last year, so it's not a big deal i guess ...............

It's a combination of a poor run blocking O-line and subpar running backs.
