As far as Hines Ward is concerned, the Pittsburgh Steelers need to get back to their roots, they need to run the football more and more effectively. "Last year, we had a prolific offense," Ward told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "We had two 1,000-yard receivers, a 1,000-yard back and a 4,000-yard quarterback, and we were out of the playoffs. Go figure that." Ward isn't alone in his assessment. "We need to figure out how to get better running the football," team president Art Rooney II said. Added Steelers coach Mike Tomlin: "We've got to run the ball more effectively in critical situations because that's how we desire to play football, and it increases our chances of winning. It makes us a more dominant football team." Source: National Football Post
Without Roethlisberger, this is their best chance to win some of those ball games. They're obviously not going to be able to run the offense they have in the past couple years without Ben in there. Hopefully Arians can learn to adapt... :icon_rolleyes:
