The Titans haven’t ruled out surgery as an option for running back Shonn Greene, who injured his knee in the season opener and missed Sunday’s game in Houston.

Titans coach Mike Munchak said the team is discussing whether or not to let the knee heal on its own or to go the surgery route.

“We haven’t finalized anything yet,†Munchak said. “We’d hoped that we could get through this process, just giving him a couple days (to let the knee heal on its own) and see how it responded. It’s getting better, but it’s just a matter of what exactly does that mean? Does that mean a week or two? What’s the alternative?â€

Defensive tackle Sammie Hill will likely miss some time with the ankle injury he suffered against Houston, but Hill is hopeful that he’ll be out less than a month.

Wide receiver Damian Williams is likely to return to practice Wednesday after missing Sunday’s contest with a hamstring injury. Munchak said rookie linebacker Zaviar Gooden, who was inactive on Sunday, will likely be available for special teams work against San Diego.
