Texans head coach Gary Kubiak went with experience over local sentiment and named T. J. Yates as the team’s backup quarterback ahead of Case Keetnum. The players were given the news Wednesday and Kubiak told the media his decision after Thursday’s practice as the Texans began preparations for their season-opener Monday night in San Diego. “We’ll go into the season starting with T.J. as our ‘two,’†Kubiak said while adding, “It doesn’t mean we’re set for the season, but that’s the way we’ll start. I couldn’t have made a wrong decision. They both played so well.†Source: Ultimate Texans
I don't think the Texans are comfortable with their back up qb situation at all. They better hope schaub doesn't get hurt again.
Weren't they at one point so psyched to have Yates and then someone behind him (I forget who)? They had three "solid" QBs... I agree with you Captain...seems like they aren't comfortable at all with it now...
