he Rams will be free to leave their lease – and St. Louis – after 2015 if the stadium does not measure up among the top quarter of facilities in the NFL, despite being just 15 years old, the Edward Jones Dome is not even close. When it comes to a new stadium in St. Louis, the conversation is just beginning according to Tim Logan of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. And the team from Indianapolis stressed that their model may not work as well in a different city. Indeed, it’s unclear at this point that there’s appetite, or money, for a new football stadium in St. Louis, but that’s something we need to figure out soon, said Kevin Cahill, a former member of the commission that built the Edward Jones Dome who’s on the RCGA trip. “We can’t shrug our shoulders and say (to the Rams), ‘you can leave.’ I don’t think that’s the right answer,†he said. “Just building them a new stadium, I’m not sure that’s the right answer either. Maybe we need to find some middle ground.â€

huh? they just built the freaking stadium they have .......... i live in Missouri and I can tell you right now that if the corrupt St.Louis/Jeff City politics push this through, a lot of elected officials are going to lose their jobs. No states have the money right now and Missouri just built the Cardinals a new stadium and gave a bunch of $ to Kansas City to upgrade ARrowhead and Royals stadiums and most people weren't real happy about it because the state spent almost a billion dollars on those 3 stadiums and didn't have the money to begin with ........
