Team Xtreme had its NASCAR Sprint Cup car and trailer stolen from a hotel parking lot in Morrow, Ga. With bad weather in the Charlotte area earlier this week the team's primary transporter was already at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The team opted to work on the car more at the shop and brought the No. 44 Chevrolet down in a 26-foot enclosed trailer being pulled by a black Ford dually pickup. Because of the theft the team has withdrawn from the Sprint Cup Series Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

"While this is obviously a setback for this weekend, our plans remain to compete in the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup season," said team owner John Cohen. "We are working closely with the Morrow police in hopes that our truck, trailer and race car are safely returned." Hotel surveillance video showed the theft occurred at 5:32 am. According to the police report a silver or grey Jeep Cherokee was spotted leaving the hotel at the time of the theft. Team Xtreme qualified for the season-opening Daytona 500 last weekend and finished 32nd with driver Reed Sorenson. Travis Kvapil was entered in the car for this weekend.
