Earlier this morning, it was reported that Houston Texans defensive end Mario Williams was in Philadelphia seeking a second opinion on his injured hip. I deduced that given the nature of Williams' injury, he was being examined by Dr. William Meyers, a sports hernia specialist based at Drexel University. Williams did meet with Meyers, who determined that Williams does not have a sports hernia. "Great news on Mario," Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said on Monday. "He went up there for a second opinion, and all of the reports were good, and we expect him to get back here and get back on the field here shortly. "All I know is that it reconfirmed everything we thought with our group. We'll bring him back, and see how he recovers." Williams has been sidelined since the third day of practice, and will continue to rehab his injury until the soreness and inflammation subsides. Source: macsfootballblog
