According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, the Houston Texans fear that starting quarterback Matt Leinart sustained a broken collarbone in the second quarter of today's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Leinart, who is starting in place of an injured Matt Schaub, was injured when he was driven to the ground by Jaguars defensive end Jeremy Mincey. In his first start since the 2009 season, Leinart had completed 10-of-13 pass attempts for 57 yards and a 20-yard touchdown pass to backup tight end Joel Dreessen prior to his injury. Leinart fractured his left collarbone during the 2007 season when he was the Cardinals' starting quarterback, opening the door for Kurt Warner to assume the starting job.

NFL Network confirmed the news that it is broken...

Hello TJ Yates and Kellen Clemens. David Garrard anyone? Jake Delhomme? Marc Bulger?

I'm in the same boat. I'm tired of hearing about it. But there can't be an open QB spot without having Favre's name mentioned.

Just when I thought the Titans were sunk...they pull me back in! The Texans have been beyond snakebit this season. It's amazing how the defense and running game has become that team's strengths.

the texans running game and defense is good enough that they should be able to eek out a few more wins and take their division. all these qb problems will end up costing them playoff seed position but if schaub isn't back in january, it won't really matter.
