The Texans have signed PK Kris Brown to a four-year, $10 million contract extension, The Houston Chronicle and Fox 26 Sports Houston reported on Wednesday. According to the reports, Brown will receive $2.5 million guaranteed. Brown, 32, hit 29-of-33 field goals last season (87.9 percent), a career-best conversion rate and the second straight season he had set a new personal standard for accuracy. In his career, Brown has connected on 231-of-294 field goals (78.6 percent). Brown is entering his eighth season in Houston and was slated to be an unrestricted free agent after the '09 campaign. He was the Steelers' placekicker from 1999-2001.
