Texans quarterback Matt Schaub had screws removed from his surgically-repaired foot last week, but vows to be ready for the 2012 season, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports. "All I know is come time for training camp, I’m going to be 100 percent ready to go, and that’s all that really matters, in my mind," Schaub said on Monday. "Let the incisions heal up and move forward and keep going. I’m right on schedule. I have a lot of time left to get ready, and there’s no doubt I will be ready." Schaub missed the final six games of the regular season and the first two post-season games in Texans' history after suffering the Lisfranc injury during a quarterback sneak in a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 30-year-old quarterback is scheduled to earn $7.15 million in base salary, a $500,000 roster bonus and $50,000 workout bonus in 2012, the final year of his contract.
