Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, the NFL's leading rusher and one of the league's biggest surprises this season, was on the bench Sunday against the Oakland Raiders until midway through the second quarter. Foster was benched by coach Gary Kubiak because he missed a team meeting and was late for others. The former undrafted free agent responded when he finally did get in the game with 16 carries for 131 yards and a 74-yard scoring dash down the right sideline on the second play of the third quarter, breaking a 14-14 tie en route to the Texans' 31-24 victory. Foster indicated that he agreed with the coach's decision and accepted responsibility for his actions. "I didn't handle my business off the field," he said. "I apologize to my teammates for it. . . . I had a talk with myself. I just need to get things right. I'm going to do it, and this is the last time you'll see that." Source: USA Today
