Texans running back Arian Foster was honored two times on the Pro Football Weekly/Professional Football Writers of America 2010 All-NFL Team. Foster, who led the NFL with 1,616 yards rushing, 2,220 yards from scrimmage and 18 touchdowns, was voted first-team running back with Kansas City’s Jamaal Charles, the Port Arthur native who played at the University of Texas. Foster also was voted the most improved player in the NFL last season. Source: Houston Chronicle
Foster emerged from an undrafted rookie free agent who was on their practice squad last year to lead the NFL in rushing. Williams had a nice rebound year himself but his stats aren't as eye-popping as Fosters.
i tend to agree with codatious ......... how was foster 'improved' from last year? .......... he wasn't really any 'better' this year ........ he just got the ball more ............. we all kind of knew this was coming based upon what we saw him do last year ...............
Lol bulllllllllllcrap you saw this coming based off 50 carries last year. He only got the starting job because Ben Tate (an unproven rookie) got hurt in preseason, which would indicate that not even the Texans knew what was coming from Foster. Quit fronting.
Yeah captain....that's stretching it quite a bit. You can't say you saw him gaining over 2,000 yards from scrimmage in 2010 based off of 50 or so carries in 2009.
I think a lot of people thought he would be productive at the start of the season, but I don't think anyone can say they saw this kind of production coming from Foster.
