Texans RB Steve Slaton is getting a lot of criticism because of his lack of production. Playing behind Arian Foster, Slaton carried three times for 14 yards, caught one pass for three yards and returned five kickoffs for a 24.4-yard average. He doesn't appear as quick as he did as a rookie two years ago. Some think the kickoff return team would be better with punt returner Jacoby Jones rather than Slaton. Matt Schaub's second interception against Dallas bounced off Slaton.

Slaton does not need to return kicks. He keeps running into the back oof hs blockers instead of trying run into open space. And there was the return in the Washington game where he makes his best effort to run the ball out of the endzone only to go out of bounds at the 1 yard line.

Slaton is a headcase now, it think he's worried he's gonna fumble.

well that's what happends when your best is a #3 wide out+ punt return guy and both of your kickoff guys in the preseason get hurt. sucks!
