ESPN NFL reporter Chris Mortensen says the Texans are among the teams that will show interest in LaDainian Tomlinson after the veteran is cut. The Texans are expected to make an early-down running back a priority this offseason. Mortensen also said that Drew Brees could lobby for his former teammate to join him in New Orleans, somewhere he could simply be a short-yardage kind of back.

Draft a good HB and stop signing these over the hill vets

Draft AND sign LT. He's a guy that can work in short-yardage situations.

Typical Texans, going after these old backs with tons of miles on them. Kubes never learns and continues to make the same mistakes. It's a joke at this point and I predicted that he'd be after LT or Portis a while back. The Texans needs young RB's with big potential. Not these broken down backs that have careers going down hill.
