John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports unlike those teams that could lose some of the best assistant coaches in the NFL, the Texans do not expect assistant head coach/offense Alex Gibbs to retire because of changes in the NFLs pension plan for non-playing employees. A controversy is brewing among the leagues assistant coaches because of a change the owners made at the NFL meetings in March that allowed teams to opt out of the standardized pension plan that has been one of the best in professional sports and implement one of their choosing.
