Texans wide receiver Andre Davis hopes to earn more offensive attention this season. "I want to continue to go out there and help the team in any way I can. Andre (Johnson) and Kevin (Walter) are the starters, and they have played great for us the last three years that I have been here," Davis said. "I want to go out there and push those guys. I think the competition that we have within the wide receiving corps continues to push everybody and makes us play at an even higher level. We all understand that we have different skill sets and we accept the roles that we are in, but we are never satisfied with that. We are always going to push Andre and Kevin for those starting roles. I think we all have dreams for being starters in this league." Davis caught thirteen passes for 213 yards last season. Source: HoustonTexans.com
If we need a long conversion, putting Davis in the slot is our best option. For short yardage, Anderson is the better fit. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, and we need to capitalize on these.
