Texas A&M running back Cyrus Gray had a private workout for the Kansas City Chiefs, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Gray ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds at the NFL scouting combine where he also had a 32 1/2 inch vertical leap, a 9-6 broad jump, a 7.17 three-cone drill and bench pressed 225 pounds 21 times. Gray is projected as a third-round draft target. The 5-foot-10, 206-pounder rushed for 3,298 career yards and 30 touchdowns, catching 103 passes for 776 yards and six touchdowns and gained 2,349 yards and two touchdowns on kickoff returns. yep, there has been a lot of talk around k.c. here that the chiefs want to spend a high draft pick, maybe 3rd or 4th round, on a running back because they're not expecting hillis to be around very long.
