The Texas Rangers have signed a new TV deal with Fox Sports Southwest. The deal is for 20 years and will pay the Rangers a grand total of $1.5 to $1.6 billion dollars. Some of this money, about $80 million dollars will be paid up front, before the start of next season. It's kind of like a signing bonus for a player.
