Weekly must-read column: An update on the Eagles' rushing numbers, Eagles players' favorite potato chips (must see picture), and an interview with the Boyking.

LeSean McCoy and Jason Peters selected to Pro Bowl, several Eagles snubbed - JimmyK, Philly.com
The NFL released the 2014 Pro Bowl rosters, and two Eagles will be making the trip to Hawaii (assuming they don't skip it, as many players now do). The two players selected were RB LeSean McCoy and OT Jason Peters. However, several deserving Eagles got snubbed.

Is Kelly's system behind Foles' success? - Jeff McLane, Inquirer
Fair or not, Nick Foles' success has been credited in some NFL circles to the chicken - as in Chip Kelly's offense birthed Foles' egg. Either way, it really doesn't matter as long as the Eagles coach believes he can win a Super Bowl with Foles. And as foolish as it may have sounded two months ago, that title could come this season.

A Running Team - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
From 1999 to 2012 the Eagles were a passing team. No more. With Chip Kelly calling the plays, the Eagles have gone to the other side and become a running team. And it is awesome. The Eagles lead the league in rushing. By a lot. The Eagles average 161.9 yards per game. The Bills are 2nd, down at 142.5 yards per game. That’s a difference of almost 20 yards per game. Last year the leaders were all within a few yards of each other. You have to go back to 2007 to find a difference of 15 or more yards.

Scouting Report: Enter Kyle Orton - Geoff Mosher, CSN Philly
Now come the Cowboys and another backup quarterback. With the NFC East title on the line, Dallas turns to Kyle Orton to lead the offense against the Eagles with Tony Romo sidelined until next season after undergoing back surgery Friday morning (see story). Orton is a more-than-capable backup for any NFL team. He has 69 career starts and a 35-34 record. Jerry Jones is paying him $3 million to back up Romo, a handsome salary for a reserve. This is Orton’s second season with the Cowboys, so he has a firm grasp of the playbook.Orton is good enough to get the ball to Jason Witten and Dez Bryant, mainly because Witten and Bryant are excellent at getting open and Orton can hit open receivers. Romo’s presence will mostly be missed in the third-down and big-play department

NFC East Showdown: Preview & Prediction - FanSpeak
Final Prediction: The Cowboys will rely heavily on DeMarco Murray in Romo’s absence and will look to keep the Eagles’ offense on the sidelines by feeding Murray early and often. Kyle Orton will keep things a lot closer than everyone expects, but the Cowboys’ defense won’t make stops when it needs to and the Cowboys’ offense will eventually run out of steam. Eagles, 31-24.

    McManus: Eagles 41, Cowboys 24
    Kapadia: Eagles 34, Cowboys 21
