We expect a lot from our athletes and so do they. I hope I have much to celebrate here.

 

The Germans are a powerhouse.

 

Will Canada lead the medal count? The host nation usually does well.

 

the torch lighting was kind of a failure

 

Canada didn't won gold, when the games was at Montreal or Calgary......

But they made the best out of it. Beside this, it was a great show.

Yeah I thought the show was pretty awesome as well. The northern lights thing was awesome and the polar bear one. But that one with the guy running through the praires and flying around was effing stupid. All in all a great opening ceremony if you ask me. fairly entertaining.

 

Anyone got video of the lighting fail?

 

Man, Sven Kramer is a stud. He just killed the 5000m Speed Skating Olympic Record.

He tried to keep up with Sven and he's lasted about 3 laps before burning out! lol.
