Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman returned from a three-week layoff because of a broken thumb on his throwing hand and tossed a pair of touchdown passes Sunday to help the Bucs overcome an 11-point deficit and beat the Cleveland Browns17-14. Freeman completed 17 of 28 passes for 182 yards with the two scores and an interception in the game. Freeman did not seem to be bothered by the thumb injury at all during the game. He returned to practice last Tuesday has not appeared to be hindered gripping or throwing the ball. The Bucs emphasized after the game through several interviews that they feel he is the future of the franchise at the position and those votes of confidence should only help in his development.
