Not his competitors or even a thunderstorm could deny Tiger Woods his third win of the 2013 PGA Tour season. In a fourth round pushed to Monday by inclement weather, Woods held off Rickie Fowler and Justin Rose down the stretch to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. Woods shot a 2-under 70 in the fourth round to finish at 13-under for the tournament. "I play well here. It's as simple as it gets," Wood said after putting the finishing touches on his eighth career Arnold Palmer Invitational win at Bay Hill, via @PGATour. The triumph is Woods' second in a row, his third in 2013 and his 77th career PGA win. It also returns him to the top of the world ranking for the first time since October 2010. Source:Huffington Post
At this point he has to be the odds on favorite at Augusta. Not only that he's on the doorstep to some history. He's 5 away from tying Sam Snead's record for most PGA tour wins (record:82, Tiger:77) and only 4 away from tying Jack Nicklaus' record for most majors(record:18, Tiger:14) I know he's done some dumb crap, but he's gotta be considered the best ever.
I think talent wise he is easily the best ever. But unless he matches or breaks the majors record he cant be easily the best ever. I'm a huge tiger fan so I really want him to break the record. Or at least win a couple more majors.
Yea he's finally starting to return to form now. I just wish he had never broken stride. He'd be putting up numbers that would have made him the greatest athlete in any sport in the history of the planet, bar none.
One thing I liked about him is that he changed his stroke dramatically several times. A lot of golfers would be scared as hell to do that, but he's not complacent. I think the nasty divorce and press really got in his head though. I'm surprised he's starting to get back to form after all that
Yeah I mean I know that I thought that all of the press coverage and the nasty divorce and everything that went down in such a short amount of time was really going to break him and after he dropped from #1 , I'll admit I thought he was done, but after watching him come back and regain his form like he has, I think he will set these records incredibly high.
