Former Giants running back and NBC Football analyst Tiki Barber said during a radio interview that Vikings RB Adrian Peterson is becoming a liability to his team because of fumbling issues. "You know what? He's becoming a liability for that team. Look at that conference championship game. It's all mechanics. It's the same thing I had to learn. You do something one way for so long, you get away with it and you don't think it's a problem. Once you get in the National Football League -- safeties, linebackers, defensive linemen -- they're all taught to strip. If you have any kind of looseness in that football, it's going to come out … Whether it's down here close to your body, up at your chest close to your body, you have to keep it on your body so it can't get knocked away. And then when you go in to contact, cover it with your other hand. It was simple. Most things that cause success are simple," Barber said. Source: Star-Tribune
Tiki Barber flashes his vag**a to the press more than Britney and Paris combined. Keep hiding behind that microphone, Tiki. You're gonna need it when you piss the wrong guy off and he stomps your butt.
i remember this discussion coming up after LAST season with some people saying AP's fumbling problems make him more of a liability than an asset for the vikings. i think in the nfccg, he was definitely more of a liability than an asset but in most games he doesn't fumble so he's more of an asset.
His fumbling sucks, but without him, the opposing defensive coordinators have an easy job. I just threw together some stats on other fumbling backs in the league. Peterson's fumbling doesn't seem quite as bad when compared to backs not named Chris Johnson (One fumble per 119.3 carries) Player......
