Tim Tebow To Saints Picking Up Steam In The Media

What do you guys think? Some people say he's a distraction, but I say give him a chance.
Personally, I like the guy. I think he's a kid that has his head on straight.

Anyway, what do you think?

When the New York Jets released Tim Tebow after the 2013 NFL draft, every fan in the world knew their favorite team would be caught up in rumors and speculation about the possibility of Tebow signing on to play quarterback.

Not many thought the New Orleans Saints would be caught up in Tebowmania, but they are.

Tebow is still on the job hunt, and the Saints continue to pop up. This time itâ€™s Yahooâ€™s Jason Cole, who says the Saints might have exactly what Tebow is looking for:

Now, before you go over to Twitter and tell Jason how much you hate his life, what he is saying isnâ€™t the most illogical notion in the world.

After all, the Saints do have a great quarterback Tebow can learn from in Drew Brees. Thereâ€™s a great head coach in Sean Payton. Taken at face value, Jason is correct.

That doesnâ€™t mean it will happen.

First of all, Tebow may be unable to fix. Several coaching staffs have tried to get him to change his throwing motion. He hasnâ€™t. Several have attempted to teach him how to effectively progress through reads rather than tucking the ball in and running as an alternative to throwing. He hasnâ€™t.

The point is, even Brees and Payton may not be able to fix Tebow. Heâ€™s already 25-years-old. By the time Brees hangs up the cleats, Tebow is going to be getting up there in age anyway.

Secondly, Payton and Co. are smarter than that. They have two veterans in Seneca Wallace and Luke McCown and an undrafted rookie named Ryan Griffin who already has a decent grasp on the Saintsâ€™ offense thanks to his collegiate offense.

The last thing the Saints coaching staff wants if for Brees to get hurt and have to resort to Tebow playing quarterback. Keeping two quarterbacks on the roster is the norm these days, to Tebow would be the guy if Brees got hurt. The problem is, Tebow doesnâ€™t fit the offense in New Orleans because it relies on quick reads and getting the ball out fast â€” two things he canâ€™t do.

You shouldnâ€™t be surprised that the Saints keep popping up as a place Tebow could land. However, you should be shocked if he actually does come to New Orleans. It doesnâ€™t look likely for the reasons mentioned above, but crazier things have happened.

I'm not a fan at all. That being said he should have another chance. Your signing him as a back up not a starter. Help him with his throwing motion and footwork maybe one day be able to trade him its not some crazy huge risk at all.
